Giving a break to my Tokyo travel reporting of recent times for a moment, because this is by far more exciting to read about..at least if you’re a fellow addict of KEROQ / MAKURA! Once for a change it seems I’m right in time for a piece of news and on top concerning my favorite Bishoujo Soft makers amongst Japan’s lovely realms of that *go figure!* So, today a parcel by HMV showed up which included the latest – October 2010 – issue of Enterbrain’s Bishoujo Soft/Eroge magazine TECH GIAN which I actually haven’t purchased in years. I mean, it’s great, but for the money involved the news, which always been to me the reason I started to purchase this magazine, didn’t take long to leak and moreso Brand official websites are nowadays updating faster than it would take the magazine to be shipped and arrive here anyways. However, not so the case when it comes to less-frequently updating KEROQ / MAKURA and so I just *had* to give it a try this time around..it’s MAKURA we’re talking about after all!
With some of the involved talents already stating such on their personal web spaces word is out (of course since the day I actually departed from Tokyo…so I still could curse myself for not having picked up TG before I left to Narita airport…) through TECH GIAN that the next step on Sukaji & Co.’s work schedule past the brilliant KEROQ revisit with Subarashiki Hibi (getting back to finish this baby now and loving it more and more the further I get through!) is to go back reviving Sisterbrand MAKURA which had its last genius strike two years ago through Supre~me Candy. Of course with Sukaji’s twittering not so long ago about thinking to get back on the MAKURA Phantomsoft project Sakura no Uta (which during all these years “in the works” merely faced the wonderful Haru no Yuki prologue) once MAKURA in connection with “new project” it wasn’t so off to jump quick conclusions for a moment..BUT this sadly won’t be the case, rather than the mysterious project somewhat announced via the Korie Riko x Yuzuriha secret work pre-order bonus atached to SubaHibi lastly got a name and details, which I’m glad to share here with fellow fans out there (in case they haven’t informed themself long before I once again received my copy of TG 2010/10).

According to the Scoop a Go!Go! feature (4 pages in total, with the starting double-pages *l-o-v-e-l-y* artwork as taken picture of above) it’s supposed to be an everyday’s love ADV (which IMO is especially the strength of Yuzuriha) with the four lead heroines introduced, two of which the aforementioned SubaHibi bonus already featured – Yanagise Eika the protagonist’s (apparently Tsundere) sister-in-law plus cool Maid Yourou Tsumugu while also the karory designed 2 heroines – classmate Onigase Tane and Yukawa Ryou an oldtime friend are introduced. Plus the article features a short interview with Sukaji about the new MAKURA project…and right before the final question there’s of course the obligatory “but, what concerns MAKURA – we all thought Sakura no Uta would be next” question by the interviewer, with Sukaji’s response to that..well, once Ikinari Anata ni Koi shiteru is completed, he may consider taking up work on Sakura no Uta (and who twittered us otherwise already before? However it’s Sukaji, so everything he’s involved in is something to look forward to anyways!). According to him Ikinari Anata ni Koi shiteru is supposed to be “Light Novel like”. So much for -The Pillow- Scoop within TECH GIAN. Short but oh-so-lovely!
While I’m at it, how about some of the other TECH GIAN material for those interested? Before that I *have* to note that it amuses me to no end that despite my last TG purchase was years ago, the TG (reader) ranking still has Saber remaining with 53 points on Top position at their “suki na Heroine TOP 15″ column (and totally surprising that Mahou Tsukai no Yoru is also to be found as No.1 of readers most anticipated Top 10 ranking ^^).
Now as for the Scoop part of the October issue with some pictures taken by yours truly…well actually most of the following is not directly from the Scoop a Go!Go! feature of the October issue but moreso individual features past that ^^”
- RENEW ALICESOFT feature starting with two pages interview with TADA and HIRO about the renewed ALICESOFT (which are now blocking foreign IPs btw. as well as I just realized..but I guess that headline is more refering to the Brand with some scenario writers gone and a new year coming up than blocking Gaijin on the WWW) with feature on Shaman’s Sanctuary a MIN-NARAKEN (art) x Youichirou (director) x Momiage Lupan R (scenario) Miko-filled ADV slated for 2010/011/26. Plus a two pages interview about Daiteikoku with TADA, according to the info box attached to the article Daiteikoku is planned for 2011 (spring according to the TADA interview and Rance 8 is according to him to follow after that). As conclusion to this 12 pages (!) RENEW ALICESOFT feature not only a lovely MIN-NARAKEN artwork with comment is featured (as taken a picture of), but also an one-page interview with MIN-NARAKEN concoludes the Fanpage, with the artist’s best/top-3 take on ALICESOFT project plus characters.
- Steam Punk Series 5th Anniversary a lovely feature about Liar-soft’s upcoming Shiei no Sona Nyl -What a beautiful memories that *finally* brings back highly talented AKIRA as artist (my personal favorite amongst them all). Slated for a November 2010 release the feature has extensive information on the rather big cast of Shiei no Sona Nyl plus interview with scenario writer Sakurai Hikaru.
- Front Wing new project Grisaia no Kajitsu – LE FRUIT DE LA GRISAIA. Personally not so crazy about this Brand’s projects *but* this time around besides Fumio they also managed to get Watanabe Akio (Bakemonogatari) on board..which makes me a little more curious. Slated for winter.
- Mahou Tsukai no Yoru Fanpage reveals some rough art for the Tora no Ana, animate and Sofmap Telecard (the Sofmap looks quite nice btw.) and more importantly 3 new characters are introduced as photographed above: Fumitsuka Eiri a priest and twin sisters Suse Yuika a nun and Sesa Ritsuka. The follow-up two pages this feature lasts is dedicated to the magic (Komadori O_o) of Mahou Tsukai no Yoru with the notice that next time/issue there’s bee a special Koyama Hirokazu illustrated poster attached.
Also this issue of TECH GIAN features some more details about the forthcoming minori Tenshi no Nichiyoubi ef Pleasurable Box release (yeah, only one more month for that!). Starting with a lovely 2C=GALORE Nagi artwork that has ef sketches on the backside by the minori staff. Follow-up to that is a five pages interview with Mikage and Nobukazu Sakai (nbz) about this project. Starting the talk with providing information on the state of the project (the action game apparently long complete, while also the Miyako, Kei, Yuko and Nagi scenarios are finished, Chihiro’s story to follow that state soon (at the time the interview was held). Both also tell some details about the various After and Another Stories (i.e. Kyosuke reading Chihiro’s novel as chapter 2 (Kei) After story, etc.)…and I’m admitted looking forward to this the most next month (well, plus Mahou Tsukai no Yoru but I count that one for October actually).
Last but not least, the issue’s Muv-Luv TOTAL ECLIPSE Fanpage announced and actually introduced a new story titled SCHWARZESMARKEN (another nonsensical usage of German – schwarz = black, Marken = plural of mark ^^) launching with the December issue of TECH GIAN on sale 21st October. Three characters of SCHWARZESMARKEN are introduced and what I personally consider the most interesting about this project is that CARNELIAN is in charge of designs! So we’ve got the blonde Oppai Doitsu lady Aristena Bärenbelt (for the record given the nonsensical usage of German thus far I just guess what could be ment with the Katakana used for transcription of the names…), Katja Waldheim (the CARNELIAN cutie who’s name is most sensical among all 3) plus the Bishounen named Theodor Ebelpa (I’m absolutely not sure on what kind of Germpanese the last name is supposed to be while Theodor is definitely correct). Script for SCHWARZESMARKEN will be handled by Uchida Hiroki (as far as I could tell a writer of war-themed novels). Sounds interesting to me though the âge project I’m really anticipating is the Kimi ga Ita Kisetsu Remake out in December (24th on top) which also got some two-pages spread within the issue and looks really neat IMO.
So much for what was initially planned a short glimpse into the newly released and arrived October issue of TECH GIAN…lately everything I aim to keep short for this blog is getting quite lengthy, I still hope it was an enjoyable read.

I’m curious, since I haven’t seen the Alicesoft interview yet, did they mention the reason for the IP block? Some are saying it’s due to the political sensitiveness of Daiteikoku >.>;;
As far as I read this interview yet it doesn’t mention the Gaijin IP block, instead focusing on the change in terms of development department from TADA to HIRO.
